XClinical Invites to a Comprehensive EDC Workshop in Switzerland

XCLINICAL GMBH, Munich, Germany – March 5, 2008 – XClinical, a European vendor of innovative software products for eClinical trials, today announced a one-day comprehensive workshop titled “EDC – Fast, Easy and Reliable, from eCRF set-up to submission and archiving” scheduled to held on April 16, 2008 in Basel, Switzerland.

The workshop which uniquely involves a mix of Life Science companies will lead the participants through an optimal EDC (Electronic Data Capture) workflow, highlighting the benefits of modern eClinical tools. The course will address the key concerns around EDC implementation to gain maximum insight and knowledge of effective EDC implementation procedures. Hands-on’s data management experts will support the workshop with their great expertise in clinical research. XClinical’s CEO, Dr. Philippe Verplancke, who has been actively involved in the adoption of CDISC standards for years, will discuss the need of standardized clinical data by introducing the CDISC standard models. The view of programmers and statisticians regarding EDC will be illuminated by experts of BIOP AG, a Swiss based CRO providing data management, programming and statistical services. Derek Brandt, CEO Sensile Medical AG, Switzerland, will present a lecture addressing the areas critical to the success of clinical trials with regard to EDC.
